[VIDEO] Updated Iris (Siri for Android) App Review

The legendary app “Iris” which some say is Siri for Android, is becoming ever more like Android’s version of Siri. It is even more responsive since my last review, and can answer a whole range more of questions. With my tests I found it could easily display the weather forecast for the next day, in my location. I also found that when searching for a video the results were even more accurate and there was a wider range of results I could chose from.

Although the intelligence and response of this app is perfect, the developers could still possibly integrate more features such as the ability to call users and the ability to text people, but in order to do this they most probably would have to narrow the app down to only a handful of devices. I have only stated a few improvements that the app has had since the last update, I leave the rest for you to find and explore. This app is Smart, Clean. Intelligent and useful. Perfect for any Android user.

Pre-ordered Galaxy S3 coming early to Londoners

The most hotly anticipated phone this year, the Samsung Galaxy S3 launches in shops on 30th May (two weeks today) but you can pick yours up on the evening of 29th May. All you need to is pre-order you GS3 from the Samsung store in the Westfield shopping centre in Stratford.

From 6pm onwards (29th May) you could be the only person in the country with your very own S3. Remember, the phone isn’t available to buy from the Samsung store on 29th May, just available to collect if you pre-ordered it either in the store or online.

If you’re not in London, you can still get your hands on the GS3, Samsung have told other retailers that they can hand the phone out 7pm onwards on the 29th. So so exclusive in my eyes.

The S3 is on all the main phone networks from 30 May. The 16GB model is available across the board, but the 32Gb model with its roomier memory is only available on Vodafone for the first month.

Samsung Galaxy S3 first video review

The Samsung Galaxy S3 hasn’t been released yet but the guys over at PhoneArena have been lucky enough to have a review unit, the lucky buggers. The review is based on a Samsung Galaxy S III unit with final hardware and final retail software. During PhoneArena’s testing they say they didn’t encounter any problems at all with its functionality.

Big news from the review which will please Android fanboys is that TouchWiz actually feels good, it doesn’t completely cover the great ICS UI, but there are a  few changes to it  to make the phone feel different.

Samsung have hit a goldmine with the Galaxy series and nailed it with the Galaxy S III  so HTC better sell as many of those One Xs while it still can, because the master of the Android kingdom is back, and it seems to be angry.

On the review unit of the GS3 the software version was – Android 4.0.4, Baseband I9300XXLE6, Build IMM76D.I9300XXALE6

See the Galaxy S3 video review after the break.

The newest Samsung flagship has torn its veils of mystery and has been presented to us officially at Samsung Mobile Unpacked in London earlier today. There have been many rumors and loads of speculation about the final specification of the smartphone, which excited the fans of technology from all over the world the last few months.

And here it is, a new Galaxy. “Designed for Humans” – “Designed for humanity,” today, May 3, 2012, is the date for one of the most important announcements of the year.

The Samsung Galaxy SIII  has a 4.8-inch screen to watch cool videos with and a super 8-megapixel camera  take pictures with. The very thin (8.6 mm) Samsung Galaxy S3 weighs a little bit over 133 grams so it will feel light. The device will be released in 145 countries to 296 operators. It will appear in Europe in late May and will be released SIM-free.

There will be three versions of the Samsung Galaxy SIII super smartphone that Samsung will released, a 16GB, 32GB and 64GB version and each of them will have a slot microSD for 32GB of expandable memory. In Europe, the device will be released on May 29.
